San Sebastian City Break
Really? The best place for Food & Wine in Spain, perhaps even Europe?

The capital of the Basque province of Guipúzcoa is located on the Cantabrian Sea, and it is both firmly rooted in its storied past and looking towards the future ahead. San Sebastian’s culinary scene is famous the world over, and you are sure to find your favorite amongst the countless small dishes in pintxos bars or famous Michelin-starred restaurants.

Day by day

Day 1
The lay of the land
Arrive in San Sebastian, the Belle Epoque beauty on the Cantabrian Sea, and get a feel for the city on a guided stroll. Enjoy dinner and a wine tasting at a renovated farmhouse which boasts one of the world’s top wine cellars.

Day 2
Food, Wine and beautiful scenery
Drive along the rugged coast to the fishing village of Getaria and the surrounding area. Visit a local young cheesemaker, then tour and taste at the the oldest txakoli winery in the region. Enjoy lunch on a portside terrace while watching the fishing boats come and go. Spend the afternoon shopping, strolling on the beach, or at the seaside thalassotherapy spa. Dinner will be a moveable feast of pintxos - Basque-style tapas - paired with local libations.

Day 3
To market, to market and, bid farwell!
See San Sebastian through the eyes of a gastronome and shop at the market and our favorite gourmet shops. Then roll up your sleeves for a hands-on cooking class in our Old Town culinary studio for lunch before hitting the trail to your next destination.
