The wine train between Barcelona and Rioja, great for groups!

Rioja is to Spain what Bordeaux is to France, or Napa to California: the most emblematic and well-known wine region, and with good reason. There are dozens upon dozens of wineries, ranging from small family-run operations to grand sweeping estates. The D.O.C. (controlled origen) wine region extends from La Rioja and into Navarra, Castile, and the Basque province of Alava.
Our program is a weekend-long trip from Barcelona to Rioja. Guests travel in a private train car with a specialized bilingual wine guide who will conduct tastings and wine pairings over the course of the 4-hour trip to Rioja. Guests will then spend a full weekend visiting different wineries and villages, enjoying traditional Riojan meals, and sleeping in the 4-star Hotel Villa de Laguardia, which features a unique olive oil and wine spa.
