World Book Day. 

Friday April 22
An uninterrptued lecture of Don Quijote in honour of the World Book Day, hosted by the Hotel Abando in Bilbao, a hotel which is known for taking care of their books and their love for literature. They have a an international library for their guests and today they welcome others who share their love of books to join in their reading.

World Book day in San Sebastian will also be celebrated on Saturday the 23rd in Plaza Guipuzcoa with a book fair from 09:30-21:00. There will also be several events going on in libraries around the cities, the information stand in the plaza will tell you evverything you need to know about the simultaneous readings and you can go and pick up a gift bookmark designed by the artist Iker Ayestaran.

A temporary exhibition of this amazing Basque designer featuring: lace. This sample was coproduced with la Cité Internationale de la Dentelle de Calais (France), and it depicts the alliance between Balenciaga's creativity and industrial technology to produce what was then, new grounf breaking silhouettes. This exhibition has a total of 60 pieces between accessories, dresses and evening wear.

This exhibition talks about our society nowadays, and an important elemnt in our lifes such as Economy. We live in a capitalist society and economy  and modern politcs have a large presence in our day to day lives.

Several artists have been invited to participate in this exhibition, and their pieces reflect personal, physical, imaginary and and emotional in our lives.
